In 2002 Rachel decided to focus on her creative and artistic motivation for art, she studied a short course at Oxford college which lead to the discovery of her passion for fashion & sculpture. During this course Rachel experienced many other crafts such as metal work, fine art and mixed media. She was excited to find that Jewellery design fitted these criteria's.
Rachel began a BA Hons course at Buckinghamshire University for 3 years. This course allowed Rachel to explore different techniques in designing and making jewellery.
During this time she embarked as an apprentice to a local jeweller Antony Reineke based in Henely on Thames.
Whilst studying she explored the use of materials Rachel enjoys the diversity of resin threads and wires and uses very imaginative ways of creating vast complex structures. This is reflected in her collections to this day. Rachel's designs are often sculptural and striking with a retro feel.
In early 2008 Rachel set up her own business creating jewellery, headpieces and sculptures. Rachel exhibits at many wedding fairs & art exhibitions and often exhibits at Oxfordshire Artweeks.
Rachel enjoys working along side, up and coming designers immerging from college and university and has been involved with many fashion shows and exhibitions.
Rachel provides a bespoke service of headpieces and jewellery for events such as weddings, parties and the races. She also has a small "ready-to-wear" collection available from her Oxfordshire studio.
